Polyisoprene Rubber (IR – synthetic natural rubber) High strength and elasticity. Resistant to cracking under heavy loads. Used in carcass and tread blends for durability. Natural Rubber (NR, though not synthetic) Very tough against cuts and fatigue. Best for truck and heavy-duty tyres in Africa. Usually blended with BR for maximum toughness. Halobutyl Rubber (Bromobutyl / Chlorobutyl) Excellent air retention at high temperatures. Used in inner liners of tubeless tyres.
